We are just back from a lovely extended weekend in Charleston with the full Brock clan. That town has a special kind of magic for sure.
We are tired and there's laundry to do and bags to unpack and a sweet baby girl snoozing happily in her crib again after a few nights in the pack-n-play. But I wanted to pop in here first to acknowledge our weekend because it recharged our batteries and gave us family time galore. It was a fun few days and it is hard to dip back into real life.
Charleston, I love your bridges and your beaches and your easily accessible islands and your food and your ridiculously perfect May weather. Thanks for rolling out the red carpet for our stay.
And our girl found her new happy place as well...the lawn at The Sanctuary is something else! Little Miss ran and squealed and stole the hearts of all who were watching last night. So very fun to watch her loop of infinite joy.
And of course...tonight I am thinking of the amazing men and women who serve our country and the amazing families that love them. I honor them today and I am grateful for their service everyday.
Happy Memorial Day!
